Thoughts

if the world were to end,

where would I be,

would I continue to live,

or would my life end,

if the world were to end,
would the early morning skies still be blue,
would i still hear the songs of birds,
and feel the comfort of the wind,

if the world were to end,
would i still know to move,
to walk and run,
to dance and have fun,

if the world were to end,
would i still eat and drink,
would i be eternally satisfied,
or would i forever be in hunger,

if the world were to end,
would there still be seasons,
would there still be months,
or would time be gone,

if the world were to end,
what happens to my friends,
what would happen to dad and mum,
the times we shared together,
where would they all be.

if the world were to end,
would it end on just me,
or would it end on all of us,
would we be together in whatever is next,
or would we never again know one another,

if the world were to end,
what happens to the seller next door,
struggling amidst hardship,
to feed her starving children,

if the world were to end,
what happens to the farmer,
who wrestles under the scorching sun,
just to make a living of a troubled world,

if this were to be the end,
what would happen to the lady downstreet,
whom i have stalked and loved,
and have planned to marry,

if the world were to end,
what happens to my mansion,
which i have struggled to build,
where goes my personality and fortune,
which i have amassed from sweat and pain,
through every thick and thin,

if the world were to end,
would we all be free,
would we like birds soar,
or would we be thrown in pits of bondage,

if the world were to end,
how is the end to come,
like a sweet blissful transition,
or like a horrible pestilence,

some say expect a fire,
others say true bliss,
but do i get to choose,
the fate of my endtime life,

but,if the world were to end,
would there still be me,
or will my life become,
like a story never told,

but why do i think of the end,
when i don’t know if i’ll be there,
why do these thoughts come,
when the inevitable is the end,
